CF_EUROPE was well worth the trip from Edinburgh, thanks guys. There was a good selection of presentations to attend, but I also thought there could have been more pure CF stuff like the "CFCONTENT tricks". I agree with Allan, MX_EUROPE would be a more appropriate title. Is there an equivalent Flash conf. that it could be merged with? Then there wouldn't be a need to fill the CF agenda with so much Flash stuff.
Looking forward to next year. One of the ones that was a little heavy, was the maps and gis in flash... he ran out of time on that, and so I think I missed the point of the presentation... still a little confused, but gained some ideas for other things from this. Also, Al Manning's cf-content tips was pretty good... it again gave me some nice ideas about doing things another way, but this would be dependent on the client. Another interesting one was the one on developing for PDA/Smartphones... not sure if I'll ever do anything like this in the future, but a good grounding if I ever need to! Anyway, a great conference guys, probably couldn't have gone any better!:) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rich Wild" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, June 02, 2003 9:42 AM Subject: RE: [ cf-dev ] cf_Europe > > I thought it was good but too Flash based. > > > > Maybe next year they should change the name to MM Europe > > instead of CF Europe. > > true, and like a lot of developers there I have a lot of reservations on the > current viability of RIAs (and yes I've developed a few), but it seems that > this is what MM is pushing at the moment, so I was kind of expecting it.
