i'd have to agree with you about the extremity of the workaround, but there
doesn't seem another way round it and I spent ages trying to tie this one
down

I don't know if it has been logged as a bug.  I think the issue is (from
what someone else mentioned) logged with who.  Macromedia or Microsoft?
Somewhere between the two an error is being caused.

My feeling is that it is a IIS/IE bug, but Microsoft will probably expect
Macromedia to fall into line and redo cfheader so it doesn't expose it.

Well, as workarounds go, that's a bit extreme, particularly if you need
to use cfheader.
