Put it this way, if you're given a requirement to find a labrador for a
customer and instead you have a cat and don't want to buy the labrador
because it costs slightly more, so you give the customer the cat, then
you're missing the point of the requirements.

�499 will be easily repaid over a number of contracts + accountants will
swallow it for you in direct costs etc and you'll end up with that one page
hotel booking application that the customer asked for as opposed to a 20
page application that's like everything else out there.

I try to stop thinking of the two as directly competing, no matter what the
MM marketing machine may say. Either use flash in an app because you
couldn't do what you need to do with straight HTML, or use HTML because to
use flash would be like cracking a nut with a sledgehammer - a bit like MM's
developers' exchanges. (you were all wondering when that little chestnut was
going to come up weren't you?)

We're all beyond simply using flash just because we can. That's sooo 1990's
web design agency - and I'm as guilty as the next man of having done that in
the past.
