Aidan, Try using CFINCLUDE instead of CFMODULE.... cfmodule will create its own memory space in CF every time you run them, when all you really need to do is include the headers and footers...
You should find that the includes will display correctly in DWMX, unless you've switched off the option to display SSIs in Invisible Elements prefs....
