yes it is really the senders end i am interested in - this is Westminster
City Council who we are supporting and who the Met use to send the emails

just got off the phone to an officer and it appears that he has had plenty
of email from people who have received the doc ok and others that haven't

so - it must be leaving Westminster OK if some people are getting it but if
it is not arriving OK to others there must be something about it that is
unusual that maybe CF or the SMTP server is doing

been checking the CF Mail logs on the sending server and can't see anything
that gives clues :o/

Generally speaking, you'll probably find that the .att file contains a
little bit of info about the removed attachment, not the attachment itself.

Whatever is attached to the receiving mail server is probably just
automagically removing any .doc attachments, rather than checking to see
if it is infected and passing it onto the recipient.

Perhaps its something to do with the mail header.... Or maybe it is at
the senders end, preventing stuff being sent out, so that they can't be
held liable, blah blah blah....
