Snake, I understand, but it doesn't solve problems of the UK companies.
From the state point of view, it is much cheaper to "buy" in a various ways, providing temporary working permits, permanent legal statuses, etc. to trained/educated people then to grow and train own. As for telecomuters - it is pure gain, because telecommuter is living abroad and do not utilize state "services" like police, health care, social secure, etc. in the same time working for that country instead of native country.
