I don't even really consider changing the updatehandler support. Support expert 
thing thats subject to break in all kinds of ways at any time (as it has over 
the others).

I'm def +1 on taking it out of the config. I like the idea of exposing it for 
people to cry crazy stuff, but we must be free to treat this stuff as internal.
