For lucene, third party libs are an important component to the size though.
They are more than 50% of it.
I've tried splitting out this stuff before, it does not work (see LUCENE-5589)
I think it is best to keep a coherent unified issue that attacks the size
problem directly. I am not going to herd cats on 8 different issues like in the
past.
The issue is being brought to a head, right here, and I intend to fix it in
5.1.
