I think we should get the ball rolling for our next major release (6.0.0)? E.g., dimensional values is a big new feature for 6.x, and I think it's nearly ready except maybe fixing up the API so it's easier for the 1D case.
I think we should maybe remove StorableField before releasing? I.e., go back to what we have in 5.x. This change also caused challenges in the 5.0 release, and we just kicked the can down the road, but I think now we should just kick the can off the road...
