Karl Wright commented on CONNECTORS-911:

bq. I will investigate
org.apache.http.impl.client.HttpClientBuilder#setMaxConnTotal versus
org.apache.http.impl.conn.PoolingHttpClientConnectionManager#setMaxTotal

Hi Ahmet,
The javadoc, in my experience, has been less than helpful for these new
HttpClient 4.3 features. I think if you can't get a quick answer by looking at
the code, then the only other recourse is to post a question to the
httpcomponents list. I've asked a number of questions now, and received
partial answers for some of them, and no useful answers for others, but I think
that's really all that we can do. If you would like, I can post this question
too, and we can see how Oleg responds.

> HttpClient 4.3 deprecates pretty much the entire way you used to build
> httpclient instances; fixing this requires a lot of work in ManifoldCF.
