Maybe I'm stupid today. I don't have an Ubuntu box to check right now. But I was positive it didn't. Ubuntu is supposed to have a strict no propietary software policy.
Anyway, I believe that implementing officially an OOo with GJC is a good thing and will appease the controversy surrounding Java, because one will have the choice between the two implementations.
