I've been corresponding with Mr. Dippold, so I know that community
and OOo's marketing Department would like us to change the magazine's
name.

A magazine called "OpenOffice.org magazine" will not only be seen as
magazine about the product, but as publication about the community -
with this name it could understood as official magazine distributed by
the community.
I got a reply form the magazine's publishers:
They like "OpenOffice.org magazine" best, but want to add an explanation
to the magazine's title, stating, that it is not a publication of our
community:
I think that the best solution is to say people that our magazine is
independent issue and we work individually from OpenOffice.org community.
I think that this info will be placed on our cover (below the title)
and also in our imprint.
How clear will that be?
In my eyes this might satisfy our concerns, but I want to ask you about
your thoughts.
What if publishers in other countries start doing the same?
I'm a bit disappointed. Saw quite some nice suggestions for a better
title on this list.
regards,
Cor
