thanks for this estimation! I'm out of luck when it comes to US media, because I'm living in Germany, so it is good to hear from someone who actually has an idea. :-) > At the company where I worked until yesterday (new job with a Drupal > development shop starts Monday), I was given a contact list of 369 > newspaper editors who are in the business of receiving press releases > and similar communications. We should avoid "spamming" editors. In general, it is good to have a few contacts as "inner circle". You communicate with them regularly and more intensive than with others, because they are from major magazines or publishers. In the end, they even contact you when they have questions, as soon as your "relationship" with them is good. I made good experience with this. I have about 10 or 15 contacts in Germany I regularly contact and I personally know, apart from our large press distribution service. So this could be a start... meet them, talk to them. :-) > After seeing how effective my prior employer's PR efforts were (though > it did require a fulltime person), I think this is a low-cost way to > have a big impact.
