Bernhard,

So I thought it would not be necessary to create it twice.

I'd prefer a HTML mail over a HTML page - especially if the mail program could provide the txt version automatically.
this will be case for the 'HTML' newsletter. The automatically generated simple text version of the html newsletter will look like this

Kay

Lars,

Newsletter gets a web page, news letter is published as a web page,
the URL is sent to the mailing list with a plain text version
underneath
but this would imply that I have to create the newsletter twice. A
simple text version and a HTML page. This is what I wanted to avoid.

I have prepared a test Newsletter in HTML which also includes the
content in plain text (thanks to Alex). The plain text version is
well readable. This might be a model which most of the worries. I am
going to send it out in a separate email.
