Bernard,

Only if they are subscribed to both.
Hosting two announce mailing list would imply that each of the announcement needs to be posted to two mailing lists. A model which I dislike

Thanks to Florian, here is my proposal for a HTML version of the newsletter.
http://marketing.openoffice.org/tryouts/newsletter/OOoHTMLNewsletter.html

and as automatically generated simple text version
http://test.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?listName=announce&msgNo=18

The result of the survey:
http://surveys.services.openoffice.org/surveys/index.php?sid=88144&lang=en
Just 8 people have responded yet
4 voted for HTML and 4 for text version

So the results of survey are not very helpful

Regards

Kay

Bernard,

again I do not want to create two newsletters.
I still think of creating a HTML newsletter that contains a text version without additional work.

Using two mailing lists
would imply that users on the HTML announce list receive the newsletter
twice. The HTML version and the text version through the normal
announce@ list.

Only if they are subscribed to both. If we send the release information to announce_h...@ooo too, there is no necessity to subscribe to annou...@ooo and announce_h...@ooo simultaneously.

But as Christine Beems and Zhang Weiwu mention: We have to find out what the addressees of the newsletter want/need - and then discuss about the possibilities to fulfill their needs.

Best regards

Bernhard
