Hi,
I just heard the news from the press.

We should certainly *not* take part of the speculations about A, B or C
possible results.
I agree. We don't know any details, and we are neither Sun nor Oracle,
so we shouldn't comment at this moment.
For discussions about short-term proposals for communication, we should
move to the closed pr@ or marcon@ lists as I expect lots of journalists
monitoring the disc...@marketing list and I don't want any false
statements in the press.
The best thing would be, if we could ask Oracle to make a more clear and
undiscussable statement regarding OpenOffice.org. I know that they
already
did, but to many journalists, this was only to 'buy time'.
I think these were also legal problems, a question of what you are
allowed to say during a merger. There has been an official statement of
Oracle in a recent FAQ they handed out at OOoCon, telling that their
support of OOo will continue. I'm not aware of another official
statement at this time.
You are referring to the FAQ on Oracle and Sun which is linked from here

Greetings
