I guess the questions are rather:
* is it something which brings anything to maven? (not by itself)
* is it something which prevents IDE to get the expected data and ease user
experience? (no as explained before)
* is it something which would be adopted by mojo and be useful as expected?
you just explained that it already failed so don't think it would change
with more API, no?
