The only thing I would like we try to control is that all releases of mojos
published in central are coming from a tag in a git repo from codehaus.
In theory nobody can publish under our groupId without using our Nexus @
Codehaus. But it is important to be able to easily find where sources are
coming from.

The maven release plugin handles this quite nicely, it pushes the tag to
the scm specified in the pom.
Olamy just made it possible to write the SHA1 into the manifest of the
released artifacts with the buildnumber plugin,
which I also think is really good.
Other than that there's always plenty of room for making workarounds
instead of doing things correctly, but
I am unsure if that changes singificantly with git.
