Noted! Although honestly, I find it easier to just fire up a Raspberry Pi 3 and connect via ssh since the multiple cores on the latest version make GCC mostly bearable now. That is an extra expense if you don't have one available, of course.

At this point, Mynewt is really aimed at running on a POSIX system (Linux, OS X, etc.), and to run it on Windows you will likely want to setup a virtual machine, or use something like a Raspberry Pi 3 for the development and log in over a shell connection.

mynewt is the os running on the mcu.

newt - the toolchain runs on the the host os (win/mac/linux)

otherwise cool stuff looking forward to buy one once they are in stock.
