Agreed, but not all users experienced problems and those that did
reported them.
Everybody else knows about the RC anyway - be it through monitoring the
mirrors, reading the releases or qa-list, some news-site mentioning it.
So what you are saying is that we should leave it to the people who know
which lists and projects to monitor, and not to announce it within our
community/project.
We should not officially announce a RC that is broken.
Agreed. And in this instance we thought that the new installation sets
fixed the problem :(
