The question here is if we would be sustainable mantaining the code ourself. I have asked this for a while now, ever since OOoCon 2004 where we were approach by sun to see if we can have the expertise and social resources to mantain our localization of the tree. Is something that pavel do right now for most localizations, but he admits that is extremely hard and labor intensive.
