A lot of people use similar arguments for not switching from Microsoft Office to OpenOffice.org and also for not switching from Windows to Linux ;-). The cost has to be weighed against the benefit. Personally I don't know enough about it to make such a decision but we do need to be careful about assuming that because something is difficult it shouldn't be done. > OOo is huge. Absolutely, but there needs to be some debate to establish this. Maybe this isn't the best list but it seems relevant maybe as a starter since it came up here in context. If it got one person full-time commitment, a cost of 3 man months seems a fairly low price to pay.
