That would be ideal. I have however no control over that.

How will those guys find out what has happened and how to fix the problem?

PS: Redirecting to Oracle server is acceptable, redirecting to my backup 
isn't? What a level of trust. Thank you, Neal!

PPS: It is true that my backup wouldn't be strictly immutable - it is not a 
Maven central.
