Assuming you're using FlatLaf (which is now the only supported LaF), you can use Appearance / FlatLaf / Edit custom properties and add - defaultFont=24 .. instead. Or whatever font size, font, style you want. Those settings should get automatically migrated between versions and remove any need to use a custom conf for this.
