That works great for the default font. I am on Windows and need to set
the default encoding to UTF-8. I typically add -J-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8
in netbeans.conf.
Is there a way to manage that similarly to the font configuration shown
below?
Thanks,
Mark

I can confirm that I had my custom netbeans.conf with --fontsize prepended
to the default options.
Problem solved by copying the conf from rc1 and adding fontsize once more.
Assuming you're using FlatLaf (which is now the only supported LaF),
you can use Appearance / FlatLaf / Edit custom properties and add -
defaultFont=24
.. instead. Or whatever font size, font, style you want. Those
settings should get automatically migrated between versions and remove
any need to use a custom conf for this.
Best wishes,
