The feather and bands are super nice and flat. The logo is not flat
all all and looks a bit off superimposed like that.
Who wants flat logos? I know it's a hype right now. I predict in a
couple of year everybody wants 3D logos back again. Who needs to follow
every hype.
I agree that the integration of the cube is not the best. Maybe we
mirror the feather to the left and center the cube in the on top of the
logo. put some shadow around it and let it "fly" above the flat logo.
It might be a good
idea to bring back the red wireframe NetBeans logo that we had in
previous versions.
That wireframe is not unique. It looks like VS.

The font is nice because it's thin but it irks me the little curl on
the lowercase `n'.
