Chromium Content Module is the part of Chromium that is meant to be embedded.
Electron also builds directly on top of this, instead of CEF:

https://www.chromium.org/developers/content-module

Should be about 40mb in size, because that's about the size of JXBrowser, which
very likely also uses this. JavaFX WebView Java 9 module is about 49mb on
Windows.

Hey Matthias,

not really. I looked for alternatives to, whether it is possible to Change the
WebView with an other renderer, sure I found JXBrowser or smth like that, which
costs ans CEF, but not so much more I think. Unfortunately.

Cheers

Chris

Hey Chris,

I downloaded the CEF simple application sample:

http://opensource.spotify.com/cefbuilds/index.html

The Linux 64-bit Builds - Sample application is packaged data 153 MB large and
libCEF.so is about 480 MB.

I would not consider this for redistribution.

Till I downloaded this, I thought libwebkit was big - but in comparison
40 MB is small.

Are you aware of a webkit/chromium-embedded-framework renderer, that is build
for multiple platforms and freely downloadable?

Greetings

Matthias
