I suspect many of our older issues are no longer relevant and are unlikely
to be addressed at this stage. Given that, is now a good time to discuss a
long-term strategy for keeping our backlog tidy—perhaps by introducing a
policy to auto-close tickets after a period of inactivity?

Also, does anyone know if this is a standard practice in other Apache
projects?
