You are right, NuttX will bring the flexibility you have using Raspberry Pi W with Linux, without the drawbacks (boot time, power consumption, board price, etc). The idea of this project is to get Micro-ROS better integrated on NuttX, maybe even bringing some required tools (like *Fast DDS/*uXRCE-DDS) directly to nuttx-apps.
