You've got all the time in the world buddy. What we should do afterwards
(i.e. after you finish) is get together and write a document on "How to add
support for additional descriptors". The D's can then quickly review and
update/fix it with additional info :).  This will make sure that anybody who
wants to do something similar , in future, can refer to this doc.
