I support AOO50X and that we emphasize modern OS and dependency support which
drives a major version release.

We also should reconsider what should be the minimum supported OSs and
underlying dependencies.

1. macOS silicon, but what minimum version?
2. 64 bit Windows, but what level of dev platform?
3. Linux. Versions of RHEL and CENTOS?
4. Python 3.10 or greater?
5. Java JDK version minimum?
6. What happens to FreeBSD and OS/2 downstreams?

Best,
Dave
