I assume AOO is not going to change the profile folder name from 4 to 5? (LO 
didn't)
If it is then some migration code is possibly needed.
 
I would say that it is easier just to abandon branch 42X and start a new 50X 
from trunk...
 
Apart from that, I believe all expressed opinions were in favor of moving to 50X
