People, for God's sake, OOo needs lots of improvements in it's core applications and needs that quickly.
Including any other app in the suite will distract from improving core apps and competing products will capture OOo user-base because competitors offer better feature-sets and usability. Besides, what can be done in IM space that can not be replicated by more focused IM competitors?
