Yes, but that would be an absolute last resort and would require a complete
overhaul of our font providers and substitution mechanisms.
If you can determine:
a) which fonts are missing (what name, format, encoding)
b) which fonts Evince is able to substitute with
Then we might be able to add some built-in mappings as a workaround.
