Current simple gets() bypass the pool anyway. So passing a
DirectExecutorService will only affect writes, which is not what you want,
right?
By the way, with region replicas in place, meta lookups for replicated meta, or
regular gets with TIMELINE consistency will use the connection/htables thread
pool. To Jeffrey's point, I think Phoenix will want to be isolated from the
underlying changes.
