As NiFi 1.28.1 was the last of the 1.x line and that is now out of support for Apache NiFi, I would rather opt for us switching to 2.x and dropping 1.x support. Having java-version aware profiles that only build the integration when building with Java 21 should not be an issue. The Dockerfile I configured for the release already uses Java 21.
