David, I am sorry about your father. You have my condolences. We're NOT saving the world, it is a totally legit reason to sit one out. I'm glad you didn't (per that email).
Other than that I really don't do these feeling discussions in emails. They aren't productive for the reasons I mentioned. I've no idea where you are but if its in a developed country there is a good chance I'll be there (again) some day. I'll buy you a beverage.
