I don't know.

Because of too many breakages with gcc 4.0 and way too less time to
fix them all. With gcc 3.3 that also comes with Tiger the build
runs through nearly without any build error and the ones we had are
afaik fixed.

Porting OOo to gcc 4.0 on Mac OS X may be an issue that we can go
on when the 2.0 is out.

Quote Eric Bachard:
What do you want to do exactly ? I'm not sure the build can
actually be completed with gcc4.0, and a lot of bugs have to be
fixed *before*. And I prefer we continue with gcc-3.3

If you want you can begin to fix everything needed for build OOo
with gcc4.0, open all necessary issue for this, and when we are
sure, we change for gcc4.0 ?

The reply from Florian Heckl:

Sounds good to me. I might have another go next week or later this
week with the new gcc 4 that Apple ships with Xcode 2.1.

So you are also welcome to hepl fileling issue that occure when
building OOo with gcc 4.0 and OS X 10.4.x. XCode 2.1 is available
via connect.apple.com after a free registration as a singel
DiskImage with about 800MB size. Be aware XCode 2.1 seems to
overwrite all previous installed XCode Tools and has a new format
for saving projects that isn't compatible with previous XCode
Versions.

I get a second hdd and Tiger hopefully this week and when I find
the time I may install Tiger wiht tis XCode 2.1 and try an OOo
build too. But first we have to take care of 2.0 and P1 bugs that
need to be fixed.

Second Florian is at WWDC. Let's see and wait what he has when he
comes back.

Regards,
Eric Hoch
