Hello Mac OS X fans and hdu-san! Any version of MacOSX is shipped with a lot of fonts, especially we Japanese would like to use them since no free high quality TrueType fonts are available. (Last year IPA fonts are released under relatively `free' license, but this means freely available and not freely distributable) Personally I use IPA fonts and like them very much, but for intermediate users, it is impossible to force them to install.
