Hi Maho
Any version of MacOSX is shipped with a lot of fonts, especially we Japanese
would like to use them since no free high quality TrueType fonts are available.
(Last year IPA fonts are released under relatively `free' license,
but this means freely available and not freely distributable) Personally
I use IPA fonts and like them very much, but for intermediate users,
it is impossible to force them to install.
If you are only interrested in OOo, you may have a look at
<ooo>/share/fonts directory
Just copying the fonts will enable them in OOo
How do we proceed?
o Can we use them via freetype?
o Just adding Hiragino fonts for VCL.xcu is enought?
Any infomation is very appreciated.
You said IPA fonts were not freely distribuable
Nevertheless, wa can add them as a font set inside FontOOo
If we can mirror them, it is better but FontOOo as been designed to
retreive fonts directly from a web site. The question remains the
reliability of it
So if you're interrested in adding Japanese fonts in FontOOo repository,
just tell me
Regards
Laurent
