No. I tried and got this error:

trying to overwrite
`/opt/openoffice.org2.1/program/resource/bf_svx680en-US.res', which is
also in package openoffice.org-core08
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
I'll use Pavel's DEB packages.
