I agree. I think we say "TCM testing", because we mean "testing with TCM", as distinct from other types of testing. It helps us emphasize the rôle TCM plays in organizing and defining our QA.
We all do a lot of more diffuse testing, testing in production, collecting and collating user feedback, discussing issues with our team. TCM actually helps focus that. So we say "TCM testing" when we mean the more focussed, definite and release-directed testing using the TCM tool.
