It happened by opening the bugdoc attached to issue 91183, formatting it with the Mac OS X's system Courier font and displaying nonprinting characters. The reporter created a screenshot http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/9486/ooo31macosx.png where you can see that the special character marking the end of the last line/paragraph is placed at a distance from the text.
