Hi, All,
I’m a committer on Quarks and am very excited about working with open source
again, and especially at Apache! I was previously a contributer to Apache
Derby and really enjoyed the sense of community there. Interacting with folks
from different backgrounds, cultures and points of view is very rewarding to me.
I’ve been working on web ui’s for the last 7 - 8 years and find it fun and
challenging. I’m excited about working with community members and am looking
forward to their contributions.
Cheers,
Susan

Subject: Introductions
Hello Quarks community,
I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself as I have been very
chatty on this list thus far without introduction. I am one of the
mentors for the Quarks incubation project along with Daniel Debrunner,
Luciano Resende and Justin Mclean. This is my first experience
mentoring and am very excited for the opportunity. I am a committer and
PMC member with the DB project and have mostly worked on Apache
Derby[1] throughout my Apache experience. I am also an Apache member
and on the community development PMC (although I have not been active
there for a while). I love working in the open and supportive
atmosphere at Apache. My work focus and preference is for user support
and supportability for both open source and closed source projects at my
job at IBM. I am new to the Quarks technology, but it looks very
exciting. I look forward to learning.
Please respond to this thread and introduce yourself if you plan on
contributing to Quarks. (For folks just joining who are reading this in
the archives, start a new thread, but do let us know who you are.)
Best
Kathey Marsden
