Hi All,

I am a committer with the Quarks project and I look forward to helping
other folks get familiar with Quarks and make great contributions. It is
my first experience of working with Apache and I'm really excited about
this opportunity.

I have a background in database technologies, with a focus on SQL
extensibility (does anyone remember Informix DataBlades?) and integrating
spatial features into Informix and DB2. At IBM I have been working on data
streaming since 2009, mostly on developing various IBM Streams runtime
features.

Cheers,
Victor
