Just wanted to add that a committer would normally merge a pull request 
directly into the asf repo master (assuming they were happy with it), rather 
than creating a branch at the asf repo.

In this case I created a branch because I'm not sure how the web-site works so 
I thought someone with a greater understanding of the web-site setup could 
merge into master.
