Kathey Marsden commented on QUARKS-2:
-------------------------------------

 1. links
A quick grep -iRl quarks-edge shows files still referencing quarks-edge
including the feedback page.
site/docs/committers.md
site/docs/faq.md
site/docs/getinvolved.md
site/docs/quarks-getting-started.md
site/docs/quarks_index.md
site/docs/quickstart.md
site/docs/samples.md
site/_config.yml
site/_data/mydoc/mydoc_topnav.yml
site/_includes/feedback.html

The generated content shows more. I am ok with having them in there when we
publish, but we should make a note that we are migrating.

2. Get Involved page. I think I liked this sample page from systemml the
template and has all the relevant info:
http://systemml.incubator.apache.org/community.html so I would suggest
modelling after that vs the quarks-edge page. To your specific questions.
a) By Apache information I just mean Apache not quarks-edge so the other items
below.
b) Mailing lists [email protected] and
[email protected], I would say, do not put private on the
webpage as it is confusing.
c) Subscription information. Tell people to subscribe send email to
[email protected] and
[email protected]. It would also be good to put
in links to unsubscribe and to the archives like the systemml page.

d) Jira https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QUARKS should work.
e) Github mirrors. That is right.
f) DEVELOPMENT.md file is at the top of the source code tree and give great
tips for getting started with development, so it would be nice to have a link
to it.
https://github.com/apache/incubator-quarks/blob/master/DEVELOPMENT.md

There are also these tips on creating a good Podling website that might help.
http://incubator.apache.org/guides/sites.html

3) Downloads. This is a tough one. Even though those are checked in, we don't
have an Apache release yet so shouldn't present it as such. Since those are
just source releases anyway, maybe better to have folks clone the latest and
build.

> The quarks web site content is based on a cloned template which refers to
> SYSTEMML. It would be good to have at least minimal quarks related content
> before publishing with gitpubsub to the public website. The repository is at:
