Hello Andre,
What I have already said, is that most of your isses might be seen as a defect from a users pov. But OOo is designed to behave this way. Do not allow copy & paste from merged cells into merged cells, as this might become a complex operation.
I don't know whether you really have read my first posting in this list in full detail.
I no longer insisted to have a direct "full" copy-paste from a merged cell into another merge cell because I understood some of the problems you have demonstrated in the QA discussion.
But I clearly proved, that copying from a melted cell into a "normal" (= not melted) target cell with Paste-Special and Format=off does not create a merged cell.
Thus, it should be clear that copying this way into a "normal" target cell that just happens to be adjacent to a melted cell should not be a problem.
Also copying into a melted cell this way should not copy the melting property as it is explicitely unselected.
It is still unclear to me how somebody can refuse to see these two problems as a "defect", even if the "full paste" is treated as enhancement (and that is what issue 7500 deals with).
I suppose the reason for the two problems is that the target check which prevents the content copy is somehow executed ignoring the 'format=off' selection, it behaves as if the melting-property is to be copied and checks for clashes, even though it is explicitely unselected.
Maybe some of the people here can give a hint where I can find these checks in the sources, so I can have a look myself.
Or maybe look for a way to get at least some "trivial" operations implemented.
That's exactly what I am looking for - getting the trivial thing fixed. Regards, Guido --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
