Yes, I am sure I used the right user and I am sure I had the rights.

As I said, I was able to --backup the DB into a "backup file".

SA worked for a very long time without beeing touched. Suddenly spamassassin 
did not use bayes_db 
anymore, because the number of ham and spam were below 200 (at least it told 
me). 

If anyone is interested, I can post the "backup" so you can --restore the file 
and see, that somethings wrong 
here.
That backup was created 26.02.2005 as I noticed the bug, is a 4,1MB textfile 
and the first two lines say 
num_spam 83 and num_nonspam 27. 

Would spamassassin expire so many messages, that it drops below the 200 mails 
limit? I mean, etiher some 
feature or bug bite me here.
