The Bugs 7987 and 7992 are not important to me for a 4.0 release. They could
always be kicked to 4.0.1.

At $dayjob, we've been running things from trunk after pre1 because of all the
DMARC issues we've been working on / uncovering.

We need more people to test things and a pre2 would help with that is the goal
from my POV. A Pre and an RC are pretty different and I think you are applying
RC status not POV status. Before RC, we should go into R-T-C mode, etc. but I
love the momentum and all the patches / discussion flying around. Anything to
keep that momentum up is good even though I'm still behind by weeks on reading
all the SVN/BZ notes! Good problems to have.
